Hello!
My name is Chrissie, I’m a yoga and movement instructor here to support you and your practice. Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned practitioner, I’m here to help you fill your cup and find peace in your mind and body. My classes are rooted in traditional vinyasa sequencing with creative flows to encourage playfulness and offer you space to find your breath. I want to help you discover the magic of yoga and how it can improve your life like it improved mine.
Yoga is not about touching your toes or doing a handstand. Yoga will help you calm your nervous system, improve your mental health, connect you to your body, give you better sleep, help you feel physically healthier and allow you to be kinder to yourselves. But my favourite thing about yoga is it’s ripple effect - how it allows you to fill your own cup so you can then go out into the world and be of service to others and fill theirs.
I so look forward to meeting you.
Chrissie x

My Story
I originally trained as a professional dancer - dance, movement and music filled me up with so much joy. But another darker part of my world was filled with judgement, obsession with image and a constant aim for perfection which heavily dented my confidence.
After moving to London struggling with the stress of a dancer’s lifestyle I started into teaching dance and exercise classes where my priority was always to ensure people had fun and felt good!
Whilst my new lifestyle certainly suited me, I was still getting a lot of anxiety and experiencing stress on a regular basis. I lived round the corner from a yoga studio and one day I decided to be brave and go to class. It was such a liberating experience as finally I could move my body and nobody cared what I looked like! Nobody cared if I took rest or took the challenging poses, it was all down to how I felt.
At the end of the class, despite having my eyes wide open in savasana, I felt magical and vibrant after the class. I felt a moment of peace in my head and my heart.
I continued to show up in class and for myself and deepened my understanding of the importance of B R E A T H. The breath combined with the physical practice felt like warm sunlight on my skin. And that’s a feeling I want to offer YOU.
My classes now are a combination of the playfulness I found in my dance teaching, the magic of the breath, and movement with the liberating sense of not being judged.
There is a non-judgemental space here for you, and you are welcome exactly as you are.
My classes focus on taking your yoga ‘beyond the mat’ and knowing that the physical shapes are only a tiny snippet of what yoga has to offer. The real practice is showing up for yourself with kindness and compassion, so you can take more of that out into the world and support your loved ones from that heart centred place.
